On August 12th, members of the Finley FFA Chapter took part in the annual “Farmer for a Day” event at Manterola Farms in Pasco. The event brought together farmers, local industry leaders, and elected officials, including Washington State senators, representatives, and legislative pages, to highlight the importance of agriculture in the region and across the state.

Members of the Finley FFA officer team —
Soren Miles, Trell Miles, Hailey Herrin, and Ava Teagle — represented the chapter at the event. They assisted by serving food, welcoming guests, and engaging in conversations with leaders about the role of FFA and agricultural education. The event gave members the opportunity to practice leadership and communication skills while also learning more about the policies and partnerships that support agriculture in Washington. By participating, Finley FFA members represented both their school and community with pride, while also gaining valuable experience in advocacy and networking with agricultural professionals and policymakers.
