On December 9th, members of the Finley FFA officer team brought energy, excitement, and agricultural education to Finley Middle School. Officers Ava, Vivien, Trell, and Soren teamed up to spend their lunch time engaging middle school students in hands-on activities designed to promote FFA, highlight the importance of agriculture, and showcase the opportunities available when they join FFA in high school.

To spark curiosity and interaction, the officers created two student-favorite activities: a custom-built Plinko game and a “Spin the Ag Wheel” challenge. As students dropped Plinko chips or spun the wheel, they answered fun questions about farming, livestock, ag careers, and FFA traditions. Small prizes, high-fives, and lots of laughter added to the excitement.

More importantly, the officers took time to talk with students about what FFA is all about—leadership, career development, hands-on learning, and belonging to a supportive team. They shared personal experiences from competitions, classroom activities, and chapter events, helping middle schoolers see how agriculture connects to everyday life and to their own future interests.

The visit was a great success, giving younger students a positive first look at the opportunities FFA offers. Finley FFA looks forward to welcoming many of these future leaders into the program in the coming years!
