Both boys and girls track teams were EWAC league champions this year. This is the first year that River View has been league champions in track. Coached by Ron Curbow, the girls track team was almost District Champions as well, but lost by one point in the meet. Congratulations to them!

Coached by Griffin Hanberg and Rob Hayfield, Our 8th grade and 7th grade baseball teams went undefeated this spring. Both were 7-0.

As the school year is heading to an end, so are this year's newsletters. Despite all the hardships we have all faced this year, it has been a pretty good one and to celebrate it we are hosting our annual celebration party on the last day of the school year.

Later this month, the winners of state competitions will take their trip to Nashville, Tennessee. They will be staying at the Omni Nashville Hotel for a few days before heading home. While there, they will compete in an array of competitions and activities. Have fun guys!

FCCLA students going to nationals

So far this year, FCCLA has involved itself in all sorts of different activities, and as of late we have been hanging posters, as well as taking them down before and after the track meets. We would like to thank the booster club for allowing us to learn a bit of workplace skills by doing this.

We also want to give a special shout out to all our AMAZING teachers, principal, and staff as their appreciation days are passed. FCCLA celebrated these days with an appreciation car wash and some sweet or salty treats for the staff. We love you guys!!

Last week a group of FCCLA members went down to the high school to get kids involved, and we cannot wait to welcome all the middle schoolers who are joining us at the high school and hopefully in FCCLA as well!

Well, this is FCCLA signing off, but not for the last time! Can’t wait to see all you lovely people in the next school year! Enjoy your summer!

Family and Consumer Sciences

Family and Consumer Sciences class learned how to make strawberry preserves. We tested the sugar amounts and acid amounts to see the effects of the gelling process. Such a fun group!
