2020 Graduation Update

Graduation Update for RVHS Seniors
Posted on 05/07/2020

A Message to our Senior Students and Their Families:

We have some news to pass along to you relating to graduation:

Based on the Governor’s plan for reopening the state in stages, we will not be able to have our traditional graduation ceremony in the gym at RVHS on June 5th. Instead, and similar to other districts across the state, we will be using a drive through graduation format. It will still take place at RVHS on Friday, June 5th at 7:00 PM. The traditional graduation stage will be placed outside under the main entrance of the school, and the parking lot will be used to stage cars filled with seniors and their families.

As plans are finalized, we will communicate more information to students and families through our website, Facebook page, and automated messages.

In preparation for graduation we will have the Jostens representative at RVHS to deliver caps, gowns, and announcements.  Jostens will be here from 10:00-12:00 on Monday, May 11th. We are asking for students to come and pick up their orders and pay their remaining balances. Jostens can take cash, check, or card for payment.

While students are at RVHS picking up their orders on May 11th, we also will have Real Life Photography on site to take the pictures of the students for their framed composite picture for the wall.

If you are unable to make it to RVHS on May 11th, please contact the high school office and arrange for a pickup date.

We want to make sure everyone is observing social distancing. We will set up so that there are no large groups waiting together or standing close together. If there are any significant changes to the Governor’s reopening plan we will need to adjust accordingly.

If you have questions please don’t hesitate to call or email the school.  Just remember we are all so proud of you and your accomplishments, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
