Hello Panthers! It is currently April, so let me tell you all about what FCCLA has been doing!
FCCLA went to the State Leadership Conference. Congratulations to
Desi Nelson for earning gold for career investigation and
Kaytie Ebright for earning a silver in professional presentation. We are all so proud of you! We hope to have
Ray Curtis as an evaluator again, and hope you'll eventually even compete! Everyone who went to state had quite the fun time with workshops, like public speaking, careers in FCS, culinary practices, resume tips, and networking with business members, and danced and celebrated successes. (If you want to compete, FCCLA has over 25 competitive events for students to choose from!)
The end of the year is coming up, and we'll be sad to see our seniors go. FCCLA plans to have an end of the year banquet on
May 28th at 5:30 p.m. for all alumni, current members and families. We are hoping to get some new motivated members next year! Incoming Freshman, we'd love to have you!
Our snow cone and Otter Pop sales WILL start up in May. Remember, summer is the best time to try to make changes on your community and yourself!
We hope to have a great rest of the year!
Signing off,
Alicia Stith, Historian
