Finley FFA: Growing Leaders, Building Futures

Finley FFA: Growing Leaders, Building Futures
Posted on 09/03/2025
The Finley FFA program at River View High School is part of the National FFA Organization, the largest youth-led leadership organization in the country. FFA prepares students for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. While it is rooted in agriculture, today’s FFA offers opportunities in science, business, technology, mechanics, veterinary medicine, and more. Members take part in hands-on projects, competitions, and community service while developing skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

“FFA is not just for farmers—it’s for future leaders.”

Students who join FFA gain leadership experience, build confidence, and learn valuable teamwork and communication skills. From traveling to leadership conferences, showing animals, competing in career development events, or simply being part of a supportive community, FFA gives students unique opportunities to grow and prepare for their futures. Parents and community members can be proud knowing the Finley FFA program provides students with skills for college, careers, and life while keeping them connected to the rich tradition of agriculture and service.

Get your middle school student (grades 7th or 8th) or high school student enrolled in an agricultural class with Mr. Bush or Mrs. Yochum to get involved in FFA! Don’t delay, FFA state and national dues are due in mid-October. See an advisor for more information.
